Team member perks and extras:
• Members of TeamMS qualify for amazing prizes only available
to team members!
• All teams will have their photo taken on event day, which will be mailed to the
Team Captain after the event. This will provide team members with
a permanent souvenir of their team’s participation.
• Customized team T-shirts can be provided to uniquely identify your
team and show your team spirit. Just ask your TeamMS Coordinator for details
• All team members will be invited to the TeamMS Tent on event day and will receive fun extras such as stickers, ribbons, special goodies, and more…
 
Easy recruitment ideas:
• Make a list of possible team members. Include friends, family, neighbours
and co-workers. Don’t forget to approach vendors and customers/clients and
ask them to join in the fun too!
• Decorate your office, school or community bulletin board with event posters and sign up sheets.
• Display information in high traffic areas don’t forget the lunch room and washrooms.
• Hold a kick-off party. The MS Society would be happy to attend and answer questions and of course register everyone who participates.
• Recruit a co-captain to assist you with recruitment efforts and help raise even more pledges!
 
Team recruitment in the workplace:
• Secure support from top managers. Recruit department supervisors to
create friendly challenges and competition. Send a letter from the boss
saying “I’m participating too… hope to see you there”.
• Use company newsletters, e-mail, bulletin boards, paycheque stuffers etc.
to advertise your recruitment efforts and spread the work. Follow up with a phone call to see who is interested in participating.
• Have a MS Society employee come to your place of work to answer questions, help motivate, and sign up team members.
