Having trouble getting your fundraising started? Here a few ideas to help you
achieve your fundraising goal. The ideas below are some of the ways our past
participants have raised money. These methods have proven to be effective
fundraising techniques for other participants. Give them a try, they can work for
you too!

| Have a garage sale: |
| Last year, a Grape Escape team organized
at garage sale and raised over $700!! You can too…gather furniture,
household items trinkets and clothing from your friends and family,
organize a garage sale with the proceeds designated to the MS Society.

| Hold a raffle: |
| Last year's top fundraiser raised
money by raffling off a prize. Sell raffle tickets to friends and
colleagues and draw the prize close the event. This is a fun, easy
way to raise money. |

| Host a dinner: |
| Invite your friends, family and
colleagues to a dinner at your house and instead of your guests bringing
the usual bottle of wine as a gift, ask them to bring a donation for
the MS Society in support of your fundraising efforts. |

| Company matching gifts program: |
| Many companies will match their employee's
donations dollar for dollar. This is an easy way to double your total.

| E-mail/fax your contacts list: |
| Email or fax your contacts, both
personal and business related. Inform them that you are helping those
living with MS by participating in the Grape Escape and let them know
you would appreciate their support. |

| Host a sports tournament: |
| Many participants have an activity that they enjoy playing with their friends ~ soft ball, soccer etc. Host a mini tournament where friends can sign up and the registration fee goes towards your pledges. |

| Team cookbook: |
| From the members of your team, collect
everyone's favourite recipes and create a team cookbook. Sell the
cookbook and collect money for the MS Society. |

| Organize a "brown bag"
day at work or school: |
Ask your co-workers or peers to
pack their lunch for a day and donate their usual cost for lunch to
your fundraising efforts.
