"I first was invited to participate in the Cowichan Valley Grape Escape by my wonderful neighbour Shelley. This sounded like it was my kind of event! Riding bikes through the beautiful vineyards of the Cowichan Valley......wine tasting and wonderful cuisine.....good friends and good music...... all for MS! It was everything that meant the world to me wrapped up into one great weekend! My mom has been living with MS for the past 20 years and I am so grateful to be able to be a part of an event that makes a difference in the lives of people living with MS and their families.  

The following year I stepped into the role of team captain and we went on a mission to spread the word about this amazing event. We attracted 34 teammates that year, got some sponsorship and called ourselves the Powerade Pedalers. We fundraised, we biked and we danced our way to 3rd place for team fundraising and won the team spirit award! It was so much fun being part of a team that shared the same vision in making a difference and having the best time doing it..... and that’s been our goal ever since! This event and the people involved are so amazing – I love being a part of it!"
